I have 4 NA wood turtles since 3/2019. I move them outside full time Spring 2020 and they have their own enclosure with no other turtles or tortoises. I just noticed on 1 out of the 4 a growth near it's lower jaw (angle of the lower mandible). They have a 5 foot stream with a 3x2 pond. I'm guessing some stress has cause this lesion to pop up (I live in southern california). It doesn't seem like an abscess, there isn't pus, it's hard when I touch it. It's away from his ear drum so not a tympanic abscess.
It is very active, still eating well and gaining weight albeit he is the smallest of the 4.
Pictures aren't great, hard to get it in focus. Any thoughts, I read possibly applying some acyclovir cream might help.
