I went to the northwest reptile expo in Renton, WA today, man that place was a madhouse! I think I got pictures of all the tortoises/turtles, plus a few other interesting creatures. Some of the booths with tortoises/turtles were actually a little upsetting to me, it looked like people were selling deformed ones.
I tried to get the name/price of everything in the picture, I had to fight the urge to take them all home, but I've already got my hands full with just one tortoise!

I think this was a Fly River turtle?

Ok there were several of these baby sliders with severely deformed shells, and I overheard the vendor telling a kid that just makes them a cooler pet that other kids don't have.

Beaded lizard, these things are actually pretty dangerous

I had one of these in 6th grade, until a neighbor of mine was pet sitting and she left the tank open(which was on a dresser) and he climbed out and fell pretty far to his death. I've never even seen anyone sell them since then.

I think these were mini musk turtles, they said they only reach 3", they were seriously the size of a nickel

Another mini musk, this was about an inch though

Some beautiful Greeks from northwest reptile rescue, I had a nice conversation with the guy about how they breed Greeks, but mostly it sounds like they do rescues.

This was the saddest rescue of all, this is Scorch, his previous owner doused him with accelerant and lit him on fire.

And lastly, a very bad picture of me happy as a clam to make friends with this gentle giant!

Aaaawwwww I so wish I lived in the US, you couldn't believe the cost different here. Fot a standard Greek hatchling it's $500 .. leopards start at $500 .... redfoots $400 ... Sulcatas $400 ... and an star hatchling is closer to $1000.
Love the pics! our exops here (even the breeder conventions) are not nearly as imressive :) Max jealous!! LOL

Glad everyone likes the pictures! I had a lot of fun taking them, it was my first reptile expo so I had a lot of fun seeing all the interesting reptiles. Maybe next time I'll be in a place to actually be able to take one home!

Thank you Amy for sharing. I feel like I went to a reptile show too. What's the prognosis on the tortoise that was scorched? Were they selling him?

They had him up for adoption. When I left he was still there but the show went on for another few hours so I hope he found a good safe home!

Thanks for sharing these! It was like looking at a virtual reptile show without being mad that I can't afford to take care of anything else! :)

I will say though, not really impressed with the prices. Definitely seemed to skew toward the higher side.
