A lot of Trifolium repens grows in my yard. My Redfoot really likes it. The Tortoise Table plant database says feed in moderation, but curious why? SO! I'm wondering if anyone knows what the oxalic acid, calcium or other nutritional content of this plant might be. I've tried looking into it with no luck. Thanks!

When you click on the “see more” button on the Tortoise Table, it explains the reasoning for the categorization and any warnings.

Thank you, not sure how I missed it.

"Red Clover, Alsike Clover, and Crimson Clover can contain photoactive compounds that cause photosensitive reactions in many animals. Although all Clovers contain high levels of protein, they are still acceptable to feed as a small percentage of the tortoise's diet."
