I use Nutrobal for my 1 year old Horsefield. How often should I dust his food. Some say every 3 and some say everyday. Also is reptavite better. Not to be mistaken with reptivite.

Are these all vitamins? If so, then whichever one you use, I don't think you should do it every day, especially if your tortoise is getting a proper diet for that species.

I use the Nutrobal. I did use the reptavite for a couple of months but was told Nutrobal was better, so switched. Every day I just blow a little covering

To be honest that's why I asked. Some say dust everyday and some say every 3 days. If I was to review I would say he eats alot more with Reptavite on than nutrobal. I don't think he likes the taste, even though there is only a slight dusting. I really don't know which is best to use, but I'd rather him eat more, So I'm tempted to go back to Reptavite.

I try to feed my torts a varied diet of the appropriate foods, but on the assumption that I can't always hit that mark I supplement in a couple of ways:

  • I have a mix of dried flowers, herbs, and seaweed that I shake over their greens a few times a week
  • I use softened Mazuri as a salad dressing a few times a week

Are you in the uk? I will try and order them things. He has fresh food each day both from the store and my garden, plus what I grow. He loves wild Geraniums. He would eat them all day.i only give him a few mixed with his others. His treat is the komodo pellets. He would quite happily live off them, but there's no way I'm doing that. He picks all the red ones out first 😄. Before and after. I'm not sure I've put them in the right order
