I knew this whole Olivier-ism was gonna be good. What a sweetheart! I love this big fella and I don't even know him. But, Sandy, I love you too for having a big, big heart and letting him move in with you.:)

Yes...it's a boy. In the very first post, the picture where Sandy is carrying him showing his plastron. He is very concave, has a large tail and the anal scutes point outward.

Interesting, because I noticed that as well. Hmmmmmm.

How ever, to add to his definitive masculinity...

I saw it. Maybe I should pay him the respect due....and capitalize IT!!
Definitely male.

Awesome. I have never seen such a small gular before. Even better I suppose. Less battering.

Saved the picture of Oliver eating from the fridge. Next time someone says, "You and that turtle" (complete with a look that questions my sanity), I'm showing them that picture!

Congratulations & we'll be 'following' Oliver, too!

Hahaha

Glad we can be of assistance.

Oliver and I are becoming friends, he's training me right, and is really very pleasant to have around. Such a gentleman. I am so honored to be the one to take him in and be his "forever" home. What a magnificent creature. I feel blessed.

Thank you everyone for keeping up with us, for laughing with us, and for all the wonderful comments.

Good morning, Oliver!

Hey, what's that on your back? Are you helping baby Franklin stay warm this morning?

I love the size comparison.

I don't think I need to say anything, has a body language says it all.

Well, I haven't posted in a bit. Things have been going very well, actually.
Today, my Mo..with the injures beak, was banging on the baby gate (he lives in bedroom), so I let him out...which I do often...he and Oliver are never left unattended.

Mo is very curious and will go check out Oliver and his house. Oliver usually sucks himself in, turns around and dives in hide.

Not today! Oliver stood up, watched Mo make his usual lap around the house, and when Mo came back, Oliver walked over to him (Mo oblivious), and proceeded to climb on poor Mo!
I picked up Mo and returned him to his PowerSun.

Someone is getting a bit impressed with himself, I'd say!!
