Yes it is Opuntia, not sure though which species. It looks to be the spineless variety.

It looks pretty dark and green. Does it have any really large, white spikes? Looks like it could be Opuntia quimilo, but I'm no expert. I wouldn't hesitate to feed the new growth to my torts after a few months of weathering.

I'm with Tom on this...it's too dark to be ficus-indica + the pads aren't as broad

That is not O.f.i.
Some of my old posts have photos of indica & this variety.
Although I have not had any luck with the ID ether.
I have 3 types of spineless Opuntia 2 I haven't ID'd.
The cactus people I spoke with were not much help ether.
Someday I'll find an Opuntia authority, Maybe.

How about opuntia vulgaris?

If you've got a lot of time on your hands, this is a great site for looking at cactus pictures:

I think we've been having trouble i.d.ing this because its not in the opuntia family. I've seen a picture of a young version of Consolea rubescens and it looks pretty much like the OP's cactus.

Thanks guys :)

I haven't received (well, went to pick up) this plant yet...so aside from the pic, I dont have much more information.

Will measure everything when I get them hopefully this week.

Thanks

wait...its not an opuntia? and I see what you mean by the similarity to a young C. rubescens
