Oregon get together?

There are a whole lot of Oregonians posting and belonging to TFO. I think we should have a "tort feast day". So to start with how about all the people who would participate send me a pm so we can figure out if enuf would come. We'd pick out someone who lives central to the rest of us and has yards for the torts we'd bring. I'd bring Mary Knobbins...anybody???

I was thinking about meeting at 1 person's home, who has a number of pens. Example....I have 5 pens now that have been empty for a number of years. Put the visiting tortoises in those pens. BUT...I didn't get anyone except Beasty, so I'm assuming no one else is interested...so forget it...

You need to give it more time and I think if you meet without the tortoises more would be inclined to meet up.

Members, if you are close enough to do this, go for it. I have met 6 members, couple of them a couple times and one of them I am good friends now we test almost daily and have met up several times. None of them live close to me, not even in my state. It is such a great meet up, you won't be sorry.

Hey Maggie,

I'm down for an Oregon meet up. Levi is already used to traveling from the petting zoo but I never put him in other tortoise spaces. Plus, any time an area was questionable, he was put on a blanket. You wouldn't see the feisty ankle monster if I brought him to a meet up though. He's only like that in "his" backyard. So, if you are ever driving through the Medford area and want to make a pit stop, I'll be happy have you over here to let him chase you 🤣

Personally, I hate traveling. I always have too much to do and too many dependents to be gone for too long. If the meet up with in Medford or Grants Pass, I'd be there! Anything pass GP and I won't make the trip. Just being honest.
