Hi,

I been searching for coco substrate but it is not available locally in my location.

The best I could search is as below picture - an organic compound.

Is it okay to be use as substrate? It consist of black soil, coconut stuff and fertilizer but NO PESTICIDE. I already double and then triple check that before issuing a purchase.

I afraid that there might be some pathogen in the soil that somehow will infect my beloved tortoise.

Please assist me on this issue.

I wouldn't use that without really knowing what exactly is in it.

I wonder what the "plus" is on that second bag of coco coir. That's what worries me.

Maybe you can look up the manufacturers online and give them a call. They should be able to tell you the exact ingredients and the approximate percentages of each ingredient. You don't want your home smelling like bat guano, nor do you want chemical fertilizers. If they can't tell you, stay far far away!
