Over at Kerry's this past weekend. We rode to the water to check on the baby Ospreys. We found that the piling that their nest had been built, was knocked over by a vicious storm we had last week!

We were looking and looking for any evidence that they had survived when we were just able to make out on of the parents in a nearby tree......and we saw that the property owners had erected another platform on one of their dock pilings....post side, off the transom.................terrible pic but Mom is in the nest, with 2 babies!

We can only imaging the drama that surrounded getting the babies up to the new platform!

Thought this might be a young Osprey, for it would perch for hours throughout the night.

Well Frankie, we have another thread with a red tailed hawk, the only other bird it even comes close to looking like but yes, I agree.....that appears to be an Osprey....though they might be called something different out there?
