This picture was taken new years eve it look really good now he was back to the vet last friday for recheck and thankfully
Better
My community of different tortoises/turtles have been together
For a long time and are very loved

Did I miss something?! What happened to his mouth?! Poor baby! I'm so glad he's doing better.

I don't know that it's what happened or not, but a sexually active male will pursue females 24/7 and if kept in a small area or container, the mating might cause some fighting.
I kept a pair in a very small area years ago. Didn't know any better and I thought that the cuts and bites were just part of tortoise behavior.
Even with the very best care, sometimes one has to get some alone time.
In fact, I recently had to rehome a male that was a little too "romantic".....Even with 400 square feet.
