I’m currently planning my 3 year old leopards outdoor enclosure. It’s going to be 25’x50’. What are some good plants to put in the enclosure? I live in east TN summers are pretty hot and temps start dropping late November and pick up late February. I’ll be using the outdoor enclosure May-September and have a 5’x12’ indoor for the winter. Just trying to find some good shade plants or anything to add to the outdoor space.

Rose of Sharon bush or tree, mulberry tree, winter hardy hibiscus, hostas, lilac, just the few I can think of.

My tortoise enjoys ornamental grasses. Let them grow big and bushy! It's natural for them to want to dig into and wedge in the tall grass. In addition to some taller shade sources around, this will provide shade in a way that's most natural to this species.
