Outdoor enclosure

I was thinking of making an enclosure for my Russian tortoise to put on my porch, he'd get sunlight and I was wondering how I could do this the best way? Or would it be better to put the enclosure somewhere else, my yard is mostly fenced in and there's a lot of space.

There is no limit to how it could be done. You could do both.

I prefer to make large pens on the ground. Make sure the spot you choose has sun AND shade all day long.

^^on the ground seems the better option, and as said above make sure there is shade and sun, not just one or the other
