Home depot sells some fixtures that I really like. Heavy duty cords and ceramic bases.
"Flood" denotes how the bulb disperses its light. A regular round bulb puts out light in all directions. A "spot" bulb focuses the light and heat in a very narrow band. A flood focuses the light in one direction, but in a broader beam than a spot.
I use a couple 60w flood lights for my russian, keeps everything just perfect! And then I have tube UVBs for everyone, but you could go with MVB's indoors, two in one, but they are little more expensive.
