That's definitely saying something coming from you. Beautiful gal looks like she's been around awhile.

As a reminder, this is the animal our partner Anthony grabbed off Craigslist in Connecticut. She's quite an awesome tortoise!

Yes, the big mystery :)

Glad to see she is doing well and appropriately named!

Thanks all! She is great and is certainly the find of the century. Especially thanks to the original CL add repost from many months back!

She is roughly 9"SCL which equates to such an increase in overall body mass than, from say, an 8"SCL animal. I do have two ~10"SCL males and they are not nearly as massive. Currently I do not have a scale that reads more than 2kg so I don't know her weight.

I am really considering waiting until spring to pair her up. She will be paired with "Shelly", a male I was sent nearly a decade ago. He had been a family pet in CA and his owners wanted him to go into a breeding situation, they had him since 1998 or 99.

But he is a different story. Very aggressive male with character.

I can't believe I missed this thread!!!!!!!!!!!

Ben, when I had her, I think she was 2137 grams. I remember being so proud to get the numbers to you since she was such a big girl. And at that size she has a nuchal scute! How awesome is that!?

My wife misses her, but we are so happy she is with you, and Shelly and the rest of the boys ;-)

I can't believe I missed this thread either.
Very interesting girl! Do you have more photos? Plastron? Do you know much about her background?
