Hermann's tortoises should not have too much fruit. A small piece occasionally, like Ascott suggested, won't hurt him.

A little bit once in a while will not kill him, but its not good for him either. Why not skip it in favor of foods that ARE "good" for him?

Globe artichokes are okay, but I think brussel sprouts are on most "do not feed lists."

Brussels sprouts have oxalates that bind with calcium making the calcium unavailable to your tortoise. I'd pass on it.

I, as a human, pass on Brussels sprouts as well. My torts and I do NOT do mini cabbages. :D
