I have fed them to mine once in a while. Mostly bell peppers, any color. I've not fed any hot ones ever. Those are for ME!

Are Peppers okay for Greeks? Has anyone tried to feed their tortoise hot peppers? (Just curious on the reaction)

I think it'd be cruel to give them hot peppers...

I'm not sure if capsicum works on non mammals: I don't think birds even notice the heat in hot peppers, I'm not sure tortoises would either...

Yeah I have fed them before. No reaction they LOVE them actually, jalapenos, habeneros. But It was only a few times. They are very rich in vitamin C

That's kinda what I thought, I just wasn't sure if the smell would affect them.

My bird loves spicy food, anything with a lot of chillies. I'll have to try Walter with bell peppers at some point.

If those are just dry whole unprocessed peppers, then yes, you can. I would slice and dice them and mix some in with the greens once in a while.

You don't have to picture it in your head. Spn785 has it as an avatar. Check it out on page one of this thread. Post number 11.
