RE: Personality of a Sulcata Tortise verses a Leopard Tortise
I had a Sulcata years ago and it was fearless right out of the gate from the time it was just a hatchling. My Leopard now was very shy when I first got it only a month ago but now it is similar to the Sulcata I had. When I open his enclosure he willl come from where ever he is at whether his hide or under a plant and come "greet" me. If I have him out while im cleaning his cage he will actively walk all aroumd me, try climbing my feet etc. If I hold out some food he will come from half way across the room to get some and I can sit there and scratch his head while he eats. I do spend a lot of time with him though, probably 1-2 hra a day interacting with him during soaks and feeding and such.
So my vote is get em both!
