My golden Greeks love sleeping together. They are almost 2 years old.

They are lovely looking tortoises, but what you've show in the pic there is classic tortoise hostility. If they are living as a pair, they need to be separated.

They don’t fight or anything like that. They are in a 6x10 foot pen.

They are territorial and don't want or need a friend. Another tortoise is simply a rival for food and space. In the wild they roam for miles, meet up to mate and move on. Bullying can be mental or physical.

Cuddling up together is actually one tortoise telling the other to go away. The dominant tortoise is trying to stop the other from sleeping.

This "cuddling up" is a warning that they need to be separated and kept. Sooner or later the subordinate one will stop thriving and become sck

Sleeping face to face, following each other around, sitting on the food pile, and sharing the same hide are all signs of territorial aggression. If tortoises were able to make facial gestures, they'd be snarling and growling at each other.

As they age you are likely to see biting, mounting, pushing and shoving, and much more overt aggression and hostility, but even right now they are displaying that they don't want company.

Alright going to go to tractor supply and buy a 50 gallon stock tank for a second enclosure. Is that a good idea.

There is no size reference in the pic. What size are they? Length or weight? 50 gallons would be okay for a hatchling, but too small for anything over 3-4 inches. Tortoises need a lot of room to roam.
