piece of hay stuck on his ear

Hermy has a piece of hay stuck on his ear. I tried to remove it but it is very hard, I dont want to hurt Hermy's ear plus he really hates it when I touch his head. the piece measures around 5mm. Should I leave it there or try again to remove it. Could the piece be dangerous for his little ear?

Try soaking him, or misting him, it may come off on it's own.

I soaked him and after I tried to remove the piece of hay gently woth a scottowel and it worked
