Plant containers for my enclosures

Since I started living with tortoises, I've been noodling around with how to do plantings for their inside enclosures efficiently, and this is the system I've come up with:
  • drill four holes in a 16oz screw-top leftovers container, one about 3/4" in the top, three about 1/8" in the bottom
  • fill the container with whatever substrate you're using (in my case, this is coconut husk) and the roots of plants grown from cuttings (to avoid poisons and fertilizers)
Having them in the containers makes it easier for me to plant and move and water them, and harder for the torts to uproot and move.
