Plant in the tank

I want to put a plant in my RFs tank for some shade. What kind of plant do you recommend? It's a 15 gallon tank since my RF is a baby.

Are you ok with putting fake plastic plants from the pet store in?

I've got both live and fake plants. I've got Grass, Chia, and Pothos growing.

I'm not a fan of fake plastic plants myself, I only put small pots of real plants like grasses & cactuses because my tortoise can chew on them & they give out real plant odours when spray with water under warm UV lights to feel more like a natural environment.
