Plantains-- what is the scientific name?

The main one is "Broadleaf Plantain", Plantago major. There is another one that I use and grow called Plantago lanceolata that looks similar to your pic. All total there are around 200 plants in this Genus. I don't know the one in your link, but I bet it is fine.

Thank you! I will purchase Plantago major seeds instead. When I think of plantain, I think of the small banana-like fruit and how good they taste caramelized in butter. Now I'm hungry lol

I grow some from this link. Mostly they are planted in the ground and don't get as big as the one in the picture. My sulcata eats them almost every day.

I also grow plantago major "frillis", but I have to grow it in pots because my sulcata prefers to eat this instead of the regular variety.

And, the "purple plantain" that I grow is also in pots. Again it's because my sulcata is drawn to anything that is purple. Got to keep them out of his reach so I can have more seeds. It has a thinner, softer leaf than the regular plantago major. Also got these from Plant World.
