The beak was probably overgrown which is why it broke off. It should grow back. Keep a piece of cuttlebone in the enclosure - chewing on if will help to keep the beak in shape and prevent further breakages. Cuttlebone also means your tort can help himself to calcium when it wants it.

It is possible that not all the beak came loose. Diet and care may also be a cause, but @Yvonne G would know for certain. Message her if she doesn’t come back.

I have no idea what the black powder on the shell is. I can’t see it on the photos. I doubt it is mold of any kind in the very dry enclosure you have.

Sorry, the pictures are a bit blurry. I mean those "spots" near the bottom of the top shell. It wasn't there a few weeks ago. Looks like it is dirty? (but not dirt, I tried to wash it, no luck).

That's just the 'design' on his shell coming in.

I think that comment from Yvonne didn't translate well. What she meant was that the dark spots are just the natural colouring on the shell developing. There is nothing to worry about there :)

Ok, great! Thank you! :) I think I am freaking out a bit now... I am gonna change the environment for the tortoises and separate them as soon as possible and hope the rest will just settle, once the little one will not be so stressed. :)

Hey, what is your tortoise species? My tortoises have something like the spots, but that is completely normal for them. If your tortoises are Russian, then your tortoises’ shells are fine. upload_2018-11-21_9-56-23.jpeg
You can see that Crystal Sprinkles and Prism Frosting, (female, male, left, right) both have something resembling your tortoise’s dilemma. Also, the picture is cute.

That shell looks perfectly fine.
