Please Identify tortoise in ca

M my name is dirk, I recently acquired 2 tortoises but am not sure what type of tortoise each is. I live on the central California coast but one of the torts came from Bakersfield and the other Las Vegas. The larger one is 30 yo and from Bakersfield,,,the other smaller one is a little over a year and a half.. pics of small one only so far, I really appreciate the help.

Hi and welcome! These pictures show a desert tortoise. Gopherus agassizii or Gopherus morafkai (I can't tell the difference).

Be very alert to keeping them as dry as possible. Tortoises from hot climates like yours are from, tend to get respiratory illness when moved to the coast. I don't mean you should keep water from them, but make sure the air is as dry as you can get it.

I see three pics of the same tortoises, and it is not 30 years old.

I don't think its a desert tortoise either. Can we get pics showing the front legs and also a plastron shot?
