Greetings everyone. This is my first post here and i just had a few questions. I am currently building an outdoor pond for my red ear slider turtle. It will measure approximately 5 feet wide by 8 feet long and about 2.5 feet deep. I wanted to buy a russian tortoise and I just wanted to know if i can conjoin my tortoise area with the pond area. Should I keep them separate? Will my russian tortoise get curious and try to get in the water or do they avoid water? (I read they can not swim). I was thinking it would be nice to have a big area enclosed and have the tortoise on one side and the pond on the next side without any barriers between the two. Thank you in advanced.:)

Hello, and Welcome:). As advised already, the two should not be able to walk in the same area.
