I dont have a hermann's but I have to say these guys are total cuties!

You should remedy that, at your earliest convenience! :p

LOL I would if my husband would let me!

I've often, in my 56 years, found that forgiveness is easier to get than permission... ;)

Here are Jutta and Lilo (may need to change to Jupp and/or Lothar when they grow up!)

Jutta is the darker/larger one and Lilo is the lighter one.

Wow, I love those light shells! So unique! Are they Westerns?

No they're Easterns. I got them from Garden State Tortoise (HermaniChris) and they are a high yellow blood line.

What a great looking, smooth shell! Boy or girl?

Thank you! He's a boy, approximately eight years old now. (Though only six on the photo, he looks pretty much the same now.)

Handsome dude, but is his upper jaw still overgrown to that degree? If so, you'll want to have something done.

It doesn't look like it to me, but I'll take a pic and post right now for safety's sake. ImageUploadedByTortForum1375710676.682410.jpg

Wow, THAT SHELL! [SMILING FACE WITH HEART-SHAPED EYES] Did you have him from a hatchling? How have you kept it so smooth? I ask bc I have a 1.5 month old (my first tort ever), so I'm hoping to help her grow up nice and round like your little man!

Someone had asked for ages a few posts back. This is little miss Pearl Olivia, Eastern Hermann's, presumed female, hatched in Florida circa June 20th, arrived here in NC July 9th (2013). So still very baby!

Omg! Everyone has such gorgeous Hermann's. I hope my tort has a smooth shell when he is 6. I'm trying everything I can. Humidity diet exercise. You need to share your secrets. Lol
