Relevent video. Part one and two. Crazy how you just mentioned Kenan doesn’t seem to have raccoon problems. Things are a menace.

My only comment would be native gopher tortoises are common in raccoon habitat along the gulf coast of FL. As most people in the Southern states know, gopher tortoises burrow. My only suggestion would be let them get a little bigger and provide the RF with a good, semi safe night enclosure. You can also consider those motion activated security lights. Costco in Fort Myers has solar powered motion lights for $40. Raccoons are mostly nocturnal but the lights might be enough to discourage the masked bandits from staying around your yard.

You will still be taking a risk with wildlife but short of building a very sturdy roofed enclosure, they will never be fully protected.

You might could look into planting plants raccoons don’t like? Garlic, onions?
