so , i have two yellow bellied sliders, named Tater and Tot , Tater - the girl is about eight and a half inches , and tot - the boy is about seven inches, but they are both only about a year and a couple of months old, so there pretty big for there age, but the boy turtle always does the mating ritual , and i have seen him stick his tail under hers , .
so i was wondering is it possible for her to have babys ? how can i tell if shes pregnant, ? are they old enough. ?

First off, turtles do not have babies. They lay eggs, that later hatch into babies. Second, they also do not become pregnant. The term for a turtle carrying eggs is gravid. (Same for a tortoise.)

Age really has nothing to do with maturity, it is size. I don't know personally how large they have to be. They need a land area with soil to dig in and lay. Otherwise, the eggs will be laid in the water, and can "drown." Most often if they have a land area, but the eggs are laid in the water any way, it means they are not fertile.
