Well today pumpkin had something new. Papaya and watermelon.
I gave her the melon as a chunk. And she dived right in. Even got a cheeky face shot as if to say “back away from the watermelon it’s mine mine mine”.
she’s been wondering around her enclosure more today aswell. Seems she has settled in really well and I couldn’t be prouder.
On top of watermelon and papaya she has kale dandelions and other leafy greens.

My rt has an outdoor enclosure as well as an indoor, whenever I stick my hand in there, she climbs in because she knows it’s outside time.
I’m going to be working on an outdoor enclosure in spring.
I have an idea kinda of what I wanna do. But it’s actually doing it that’s going to be the challenge

It’s her indoor enclosure that’s more challenging. It has 2 levels which was the hard part. For the main level I just took a bookcase and took out the shelves.
I was hoping to have her outside full time come spring. BUT with the weather in Uk not being that great and not always warm I don’t know if I’m going to be able to unless I can build her a closed chamber and insulate it with heat etc. And have a door so she can go in and out.

Yea, I wouldn‘t leave my torts outside at night unless I had a locked insulated, heated night house for them to sleep in.

That’s what I’m thinking. Night house insulated with heat and locked.
No doubt about it come next year she will need bigger than a 4x2.
it's just trying to Work out how I’m going to do it I might start a thread to see handmade indoor enclosures for inspiration and ideas. But I don’t know

I'm not too sure about UK weather but I don't think you'd be able to have a full time outdoor enclosure. I'd maybe think about creating as an as large as possible naturalistic indoor enclosure. You've got time to plan, 4x2 should last a little while.

Pumpkin today enjoying mazori, kale, rocket, papaya, spider plant leaves, mushroom, dandelion and ribwort. oh and a raspberry.
She is now 118g. Growing steady.
I even managed to get a pic of her mouth open. And another Pic with a bit of food on her nose.
