It is thought to be caused by being in an environment without adequate humidity. What type of tortoise do you have and how are you housing it?

Hi terry and June are 6 y old hermans they came from a owner who has had them since babies she gave me this vivarium set up I'm new to all of this so I want to make sure I'm getting it right :) ImageUploadedByTortForum1397071788.590875.jpg I do let them wander around the lounge when I'm in we have made them a ramp to get in and out of the vavarium. I'm feeding them dandilions leaves and watercress with some lettuce I also have took them to a vet who said they seemed healthy and I soak them every other day

There are quite a few threads on here with regards to a 'healthy' diet for your torts. I also find the websites 'the tortoise table' and 'shelled warriors' very useful too.
