Question about foaming at the mouth

Both my baby redfoot and sulcata were taken outside to graze today. My redfoot started foaming at the mouth along with my sulcata (not as badly as my redfoot though). Does this often happen due to over heating? I'm in Miami and it is much hotter than usual today. I have never seen this happen to either one of them.

In this case I would agree that it was due to over heating. Foaming also means poisoning.

They must have a lot of heavy shade on hot days.

I would soak them every day for a while now.

are there any side effects of overheating? I've noticed mine foamed and weeped during basking too.

Just to add to all the above, Florida can get very hot and fast. Many water and shade options are vital for thermal regulation and hydration. We notice that in the mid part of the day all tortoises are under shade and never in direct sun!
