Is that for real?! It looks carnivorous ;) I think you may have to find a care sheet for that beast.

I thought about that, but since it was dormant in the winter, and i watched it grow all buy itself.. i dont think i will touch it..

I found a second one in the back of the house...

i hope there isnt a dead anything around them....spooky

what part smells? i stuck my nose to it and didnt smell a thing

The actual flower smells but it has a short pocket of 24-48 hours to where it can be pollinated. The smell does not last longer than that - outdoors you would not smell it like my parents did in their enclosed home! It was pretty gross! ha! There are several species of voodoo lily and closer inspection of your plant pics I did see the speckled stems. In more shade the leaves are a deeper green and the spotting is more pronounced. It can grow in sun with adequate water but gets a little bleached out looking... The variety you have is not as uncommon in the deep south (S. Carolina, GA, AL, FL) but still I don't think I have ever seen it in a nursery. My friend gave me some that were from her grandmother's garden -- the tubers are easy to dig up and share *hint, hint* ;) Again, not sure of the toxicity if any??? but they usually bloom May or June and do much better planted in the ground. saying that, my mom's was planted in a pot, was in her house and bloomed in January! hahaha!
Enjoy and i'm a plant nerd so will help with any questions when I can :)

There were different sites listing two botanical names but with the constant reclassification of plants it can get confusing :) here were decent links with a good pictures :)

Give them out as gifts to people you don't like, tell them to keep them in the house.
