Red Ear Slider Bacteria Infection

Hi there torts mom and dad. I need help answering the question whether it is ok to rub in or let my RES swim in aloe vera sap due to his hind leg infection which swell up and contain some white pus at the bottom of it. Thank y'all!

Aloe isn't toxic, if that's what you're asking, however, if there's an infection (pus) the turtle would benefit from some antibiotics.
