Mine took 4 days or more to emerge when they started pipping. So long that I posted a thread asking if it was normal.

Yeah, I just checked and there's no change. I assumed it would take a day or more. He's probably still absorbing the yolk.

My other hatchlings are over a year old now. I've forgotten how small fresh babies are.

Looks like he's almost done. He may have stopped to rest or continue absorbing yolk. It should be interesting to see how long he stays like this.

That's so cool. I had experiences with boxed turtles years ago. Baby torts or turtles are always preciously looking. Congrats!
