Red foot enclosure

Should I add more plants, or is this okay? He has a ton of substrate for burrowing and a few hides.

Nice and spacious.
How is the humidity being kept in check?
Plants won't last long. So that's up to you.
Also, the Red bulb needs to go away.
It's in a small closed off room with two humidifiers
Also, good to know! What can I put in place of the red bulb that emits as much heat? It's 250 watts, can't seem to find another bulb with that much

If you don't see the tortoise eating his substrate or non-food items, then the red bulb isn't bothering him. The reason we say no red bulbs is because SOME tortoises see the red reflecting on non-food items, like substrate, and try to eat it. I too use the 250watt red brooder bulb in my sulcata, manouria and leopard sheds. It has never been a problem for me.

A Land Far Away...
I like adding plants that hang down into the enclosure. That way, only leaves are eaten/damaged and the main plant lives on.
