Howdy! Nice job. Your red foot does have a large Texas sized enclosure. Now he just needs a large mud puddle to help him beat the heat.

Thanks
Actually i have 4 torts in there .
I have that 22" diameter serving tray that i bought at academy for soaking & drinking .
They get watered 2 time daily with sprinkler.
Bubba & Edith the 2 in the photo's are nosey and very social.
Archie & Blondie are not as social & likes to hide .
I think these 2 were in the back of the dog house.
But seems like every weekend i come up with different ideas to make more changes .
Next on my to do list is a cement soaking pond.
I also plan to add more tropical plants around the enclosure to give it a more tropical look.

That looks great! Really secure too.
I use portable enclosure at the moment but really liking the idea of something bigger and more permanent.

I love the little igloo house-we only see huge ones here for big dogs.

Nice enclosure

Thanks everyone for the kind words .
This has been a weekend project of mine since March 2011 .
I'm already thinking for a few dollars more i can purchase 2 more 12 ft panels and make it 12x24,,,,,
Next weekend garden center time for more tropical plants.
Will keep you posted with photo's as things progress.
Here in Galveston County i'm hoping to keep them out there for 7 to 8 months per year.
I purchased my first 2 redfoots in December 2010
Archie & Edith were 4" scl (now 5.75 & 5.5 scl)
In March i purchased Bubba 7.5" scl
In May i purchased another female Blondie 4"scl
Wow didn't realize torts were so addictive.

Nice enclosure! How is your grass still green? The Texas heat has killed pretty much everything around here. What part are you from?

Matt when you are not on water restriction..you can water your lawn. I don't waste water like that, so with the exception of the two pieces of sod in my enclosure, my grass is non-existent.

Very nice enclosure..

Well I do water my red-foot pen every day. We have been on water restrictions since March. We can water as long as we do it by hand, no sprinkler systems.

Hello Matt
I live in Santa Fe Texas. We are 17 miles from Galveston Texas .
The area around my enclosure is the only green area in our yard.
I have a spirinkler system on a Timer that comes on for 30 minutes daily.
This keeps the torts happy
