ReptiSun® LED / UVB Terrarium Hoods

I got excited briefly when I first saw the product name, and then I realized that the UVB was from the tube and not from the LEDs.

The LEDs would make it brighter though. Has anybody studied LEDs to see if they are harmful to tortoises in someway?

Here's a link to a review from a year ago about the Reptisun LED / UVB fixtures. It's written by a chameleon keeper, but has many photos of the fixture and the setup. He writes that the light output is at least as bright as a double T5 HO.
