RES helping shedding

my RES has been shedding for 2 weeks and a few scutes were ready to come off but they didnt so i helped them get off is that ok once in a while?

i have one more thing i got my turtle she is a RES about 6 inches and she had a little sore and i had put neosporn on it and it is ay better but how long will it take to make the shell come back on that spot?

Unless there is a build up of the shell material, I would let them shed on their own naturally.

ok i wasnt forsure on that because they have been there for a bit and they werent ready to come off but you know things go sometimes
