So I found an older sully on Craig's list and decided to go have a look......when I arrived and the owner told me she was in the basement I was a bit puzzled. So I follow him to the basement and am absolutely appalled at what I saw. She was in a 5 x 6 "chicken coop"......on solid linoleum floor with a little hay and a makeshift hide with a sorry excuse for a heat source. She has pyramiding and is very weak......but I knew I had to do something. Came home and discuss ed it with my wife......needless to say I went back today, played the looser the $250 he wanted for her and got her straight to the vet......Vet says she is very strong... Vitamin D deficient...... and has a slight respiratory issue but she should make a strong recovery........thank goodness!!!

Trying to upload photo, but it isn't working.....ugh!!!

I'm sorry you had to give them the whole $250, but I'm glad the tortoise is now in a better place.

The 250 def. rubs me the wrong way, feel like it's rewarding morons. But still a good save, and a job well done.
