I spoke at a career day at my district's middle school today about being a licensed vet tech. I took Roland with me and we had great sessions! I talked about my job, then got him out and talked about yellow food's diet, husbandry, etc. The kids (8th graders) absolutely loved him. He walked around the room, let everyone pick him up and handle him, it was great! I'm so glad I ended up with such a social dude. The first session was so popular that a bunch of kids defected to my room for the second. Then we got mobbed in the hall by the kids who couldn't get in my room. Roland did so well today and was an absolute star. It was awesome to educate these kids about reptile care, and of course how it related so my job. What a fun morning! The coordinator told me all she heard all morning was about the tortoise room
