Russian Tortoise beak

Hi I have three Russian tortoises and I keep seeing all these things about their beaks getting to long. How can you prevent this from happening?

Ou can feed them on a rock or brick or something like that. That will also help I they have long nails

I use a flat piece of slate. Bought at lowes for just a few dollars for 12" square.

A better picture might help for the beak. But I don't think its overgrown.

The substrate in the picture looks like grains of sand. If so, you may wish to switch to a coco coir substrate to avoid sand impaction in the intestine.

The straw could have the potential to mold when you water the substrate.
