Same questions and comments as the sulcata thread:

Why are you feeding romaine?
Why are you not using a bowl of some sort to keep the food off the substrate?
Why is a tortoise that large in a tank that small?
Why is the substrate so dry and shallow?

Your tortoise looks okay, but you can do better, and you can set a better example.

I feed them everything not just romaine
Usually I place the food in a bowl but they kick it around anyway.
That's just temporary housing for the winter. Normally keep outdoors.
Had problems with keeping it wet I have had better success when dry.

Very good to hear! :D I think my Russian may actually like the weeds and wildflowers better than store-bought greens!
