Both have similar care needs. Russians tend to be easier to acquire in the EU as don’t need CITIES documentation. Both fairly hardy and good for new keepers. Russians tend to be a bit more active (my friend has Russians) One thing to remember about Russians is that they are very very good diggers so make sure anything is secure and has a bottom!!
