Tortoisesupply page on facebook just said "We now have ready to ship the new "Russian Tortoises in Captivity" book by tortoise-keeper Jerry Fife. This new book is a great guide to the keeping of Russian tortoises and covers all aspects of keeping them in a full color book full of great info and images. Just $10.95 plus shipping, grab it now! Anyone have any info on it? Is it more of a basic care book or does it have breeding info/medical stuff, etc. ?

It is a basic care book, but there's 12 pages on breeding/egg laying/incubation, so it does cover it all. It's about 80-90 pages total (depending if you count the glossary and index). It's similar to the redfoot book put out by the same group, just a Russian tortoise version of it. It talks about the natural range, hibernation, diet, etc.

I bought it months ago. It's a very good book. Typical of the Fife's. Good pics and good info for the most part.

My favorite book of their's is the Star Tortoise book. It's pretty similar to this one.
