So we filled in the burrow... The 'dirt' is actually very degraded stone.
the stone'fill next to our soil
we had the sod spaced apart, so the bermuda would grow between - we also put down grass mix/ flowers/ weeds throughout the sod and between.. hoping for lots of growth for a hungry tort
and speaking of tort, RV chased me all over the yard, convinced I had food for her... (she'll get a carrot in a little while)
and here is the mound covering her burrow. Some will still sink in. We caved in some of the burrow, and then washed down quite a bit of fill with the hose. RV doesn't mind that it is there, and gives her something to climb on if she feels the need. Come summer it will be hot, so we may have to cover it with sod also. perfect for Halloween - just needs the tombstone.. hah!
since we leveled the east side of the yard with this stuff, we may have to put down more sod so the yard isn't as hot. hmmm. wasn't thinking about that when we put it down.
anyway, thanks for looking!
