Yesterday late afternoon at 5, our first RF was finally starting to dig her first nest after 13 years in the new outdoor enclosure. The digging took more than four hours, and then she laid three nice looking eggs. She filled the nest until 12, and then I took her in for a good night sleep, since it was alredy dark and all her mates had been inside for several hours already... The weight of the eggs was just below 45 grams each and filled some of the free space in the incubator ;)

You are so lucky Mike!! Is that a home made incubator you have them in there? Congrats!! ;)

Thank you John, yes it is home made.

I use a glass tank with an immersion heater and 3 inch of water, two pieces of standing glass, a brass grid on top of that where I can put the eggs in containers with vermiculate, and a leaning top so the water dont drip on the eggs.

The immersion heater is set to 29,7 C and this holds the temperature very steady as well as the humidity at 97-98.
