I think you guys scared him off....I just hope he is mature enough to take the information and make it work. Tortoise husbandry is very rewarding (even though Im a noob, I know!) and I would hate for anything bad to come of it.

You could also buy a mealworm feeder bowl from exo terra and put it on a ledge so that the tort couldn't get to it. Only of you can't get another tank. By the way they might enjoy the company considering that neither one was ever a wild animal.
