I still can not believe so much they poop. My tortoise likes to do it on the patio (concrete) right outside the breakfast window. You can not just unsee it!

I go out with a push broom and hose the area down. It looks clean, but it must not be because it will still attract flies. Sometimes a dark mark will appear. I’ve tried throwing down baking sodas and even Clorox, but there must still be a little there because flies show up. What is the best way to make sure you get it all? Is there a particular type of broom (thinking of trying a pool broom) and cleaner?

I don't have the answer to your question, but its best to keep them off the concrete. It is too abrasive and it will eventually wear through their feet and you'll start to find bloody foot prints. It causes a lot of wear and tear on their plastron too.
