Hello everyone I previously posted about possibility of my oldest Charlie being septic.. Noticed pink coloration on my turtles thighs close to plastron.. Here are pics and set up, pink coloration seems to be subsiding. Is he acting off? I mean, I only see what is a normal looking turtle....

One thing that you may seriously consider is to change out he filter, those type not only use up valuable space, but turtles are like the goldfish of the turtle world...they are a dirty little bunch....for the tank you have there you may want to pick up a filter that hangs off outside of the tank....and if you are using a 20 gallon tank, get a filter that is designed for 35-40 gallon tank...this way you will have appropriate water movement/cleaning...also, you can fill the tank to a higher level and perhaps build an above tank platform so that the turtles can completely climb out of the water and bask / dry off ....

Think of septicemia as a situation that arises right before a turtle dies. It is basically something you will see in a VERY sick animal. Often times, you hope a sick turtle can turn it around, then, when they become septic, you know it for sure, and that's when hope starts to really slip.

What is your water temp? Sometimes, my albino and other morph sliders would become really pink in their skin when the water was cool.

I want to start working on an above tank basking platform was thinking of upgrading tank to a bigger one I have 40 gallons now ... And no behavioral changes in either turtle

Very true, this spring from the really bad temps rising and falling. I had a turtle get sick and become septic very quickly. When you take it to the vet. At least mine did, they straight up told me it probably wont make it
