Shorter Search Wait times

I think the wait time between searches is a bit long. Sometimes you don't get any results and you want to tweak your search but you have to wait for the remaining 54 seconds to pass to just give it another shot. Makes searching for new things sometimes fairly frustrating and tedious.

Maybe we could reduce the time it takes between searches? or if not, could someone kindly explain why there's the 60 second wait time at all?

The 60 second wait time is to give the database some time to breath. If we had no limit, there would be a risk of crippling the database with too many calls. I'll lower the limit to 30 seconds and see what happens to the server load.

Okay, if it causes any problems feel free to put it back. I had guessed it had something to do with stopping spammers or something...

Is the 30 second wait (I think it's 30 seconds?) between posts for the same reason?

Yes Katie, and also to prevent spammers from just reposting the same thing over and over again
